Today, we learned about what is the internet and how to use it safely. By starting to learn about this topic in Kindergarten, I hope this will set a foundation for students to become responsible digital citizens throughout their lives.
Internet– a place where people go to find information, learn new things, chat with friends and family, watch videos, and play games
Website– a place you can visit on the internet
We learned about the 3 rules of internet safety:
1. Ask your parents first.
2. Only talk to people you know.
3. Stick to places just right for you.
Extensions: Go to kid friendly websites with your child and discuss why they are kid friendly (just right for you).
