As you are aware, Division 16 is learning about cultural diversity and how Canada is a multicultural country. We have done several activities and lessons to help promote a greater awareness and appreciation among our students for the different cultures represented in our community.
Our cultural diversity show and tell sessions and family traditions and celebrations poster presentations were informative. Students became the teacher and taught the class (and I) a bit about their family culture. Thank you for helping your child prepare for this activity. It was a great success!
Today we had the multicultural luncheon and it was a great experience for the class. Thank you for all of the families that brought food from their culture. The students were brave and respectful as they tried new and familiar foods.
