We also explored nets and I tested students by drawing various nets and asking them what 3D shape it created.<\/p>\n<p>Textbook work:<\/p>\n<p>Grade 5: pages 232-233 #1-3, 5, 7<\/p>\n<p>Grade 4: page 231 #1-4<\/p>\n<p>This is due Monday if not done.<\/p>\n<p>After, we had snack and students went to Music. Then, we had DPA and Gym. In Gym, we played a frisbee scoring game in hoops and then played a hopping hoop game which was really fun.<\/p>\n<p>After lunch, we talked about dialogue some more and editing for quotation marks, capitalization, punctuation, and indenting and making a new paragraph for each time the speaker changes. Then, I explained how to write a dialogue lead (hook) and a background lead (hook) for their personal narratives and students completed a dialogue lead and background lead for their personal narratives. They are making great headway with this!<\/p>\n<p>Students&#8217; weekend journal is: Write a story about two sisters or brothers that were separated at birth. Do they meet or not? What happens? G5: 1.5 pages and G4: 1 page.
