Dear Parents,<\/p>\n
Today, we started off with a reading assessment that Ms. Sakic led in our classroom. We only got through part of it, so we will finish the rest next week. The Grade 4’s read about bicycling and the Grade 5’s read about Wolves.<\/p>\n
After, students had snack and went to Music. When we returned, we stayed inside for DPA because it was raining and then we had Gym. In Gym, we played a variety of games that require no equipment.<\/p>\n
After lunch, Mrs. Chim came in and taught the kids about alliterations. Students worked on their poetry books and completed the two poems from yesterday and the alliteration page today – if it is not done, it is for homework.<\/p>\n
After recess, students copied down the weekend journal: write two different poems (different types of poems) from the ones we have covered – cinquain, acrostic, number, alliteration, and pyramid. I want them to use very descriptive words in their poems and work hard on this as this will be the weekend journal. It is due on Monday.<\/p>\n
I also ask that students bring plastic bags to place their indoor shoes in so we can hang them up and the benches can be cleaned daily.<\/p>\n
