Happy Friday the 13th \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
Today, we started off with reading and the Grade 4’s watched a bit of two Planet Earth videos about the Desert and Fresh Water. The Grade 5’s worked on researching on the computers where many natural resources are found in abundance in Canada. The students drew pictures on a Canadian map to represent those resources and made a\u00a0 legend to correspond with the pictures. Then, we shared our maps after.<\/p>\n
Then, the students were given time to work in partners on multiplication Math games online with single-digit by single-digit and double-digit by single-digit multiplication.<\/p>\n
After that, the students went to Music and then we had DPA in the classroom. After DPA, we went to the Gym and played a circle game, a cooperative game, and a solo competitive game.<\/p>\n
After lunch, we cut out the templates for our poetry books and then we did our Daily 5 stations.<\/p>\n
After recess, we had community time.<\/p>\n
The homework for this weekend is that the students are presenting their Drama Skits on Monday and to do their Weekend Journal:<\/p>\n
-1\/2 page answering: What is the best day of the whole year? Why is it the best?<\/p>\n
-1\/2 page: Write an acrostic poem to match your answer.<\/p>\n
