Leaf Man
Inspired by the book, Leaf Man, Divisions 10 & 11 created their very own leaf figures! We first went leaf picking around the school and found many leaves with different colours. We then went to the library where the teachers had stations set up to create our leaf art. Some of us finished quite early, so we were able to walk around and check out what other students were creating!

Remembrance Day
This year for Remembrance Day, Division 11 learned about the significance of the poppy. We learned and reflected on the freedom we have today. As a school, we had a peace ceremony to pay tribute to the veterans whom we are thankful for today. Neville and Kaizer hung our class wreath in the gym while the rest of us stayed behind to watch the ceremony through Zoom.

Fall Fun
Thanks to Mrs. Young, we were able to have a pumpkin patch this year! We also had a fun Halloween Parade through Zoom and checked out everyone’s cool costumes. To end our Fall festivities, we had a school-wide Bingo with prizes! A big thank you to our Grade 6 & 7 lunch monitors who helped us throughout the game. Oh, and another big thank you to those students who brought treats for our class. Yum!

Classroom Clean Up!
In our classroom, we have added classroom duties! Each person (even the teacher!) has a classroom clean up duty that rotates every day. By keeping our space neat and tidy, we learn to build on our classroom community.

Story Workshop
During Story Workshop, students create stories using ‘loose parts’ and retell their stories to a peer or to the teacher. Through these pictures, can you guess what the stories are about?

Pumpkin Art
This art project took place on 3 separate days. On the first day, the students sketched and drew out their pumpkins with pencil. On the second day, they used watercolour to give it life! Once dried, the students outlined their pumpkins with a black permanent marker on the third day. And, voila!
