{"id":4264,"date":"2023-06-22T17:39:24","date_gmt":"2023-06-23T00:39:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sd41blogs.ca\/temples\/?p=4264"},"modified":"2023-06-22T17:39:24","modified_gmt":"2023-06-23T00:39:24","slug":"our-community-grid","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sd41blogs.ca\/temples\/2023\/06\/22\/our-community-grid\/","title":{"rendered":"Our Community Grid"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We started with a large piece of white roll paper divided into 24 six by nine inch tiles. \u00a0These all had mapping coordinates on them &#8211; A1 through to D6. \u00a0Heavy tag board tiles were cut to these measurements. \u00a0These were temporarily taped together so the grade twos could draw on the basic structures of roadways, parks, and the school site.<\/p>\n<p>Each student then chose their tile as their name was pulled from a box. Two students were then pulled for the extra two tiles. \u00a0Then the individual work began. \u00a0Plasticine was used as ground cover &#8211; grass, cement, or asphalt for roads. \u00a0Students chose different structures for their site.
