For this biennial event, from the Burnaby Art Gallery, we started by reading a storybook called, \u201cDream You\u2019ll Be\u201d, by Joseph T. Garcia. \u00a0We had a few discussions on things that we like and those that excite us – maybe exciting enough to pursue as a career.<\/p>\n

Students then did a \u2018draft\u2019 drawing of their \u2018exciting thing\u2019 before making their \u2018good\u2019 copy. \u00a0The grade two girls prepared the canvas (the required size by the BAG of 18\u201dx24\u201d) with paint. \u00a0They were given black, blue, purple, and white. \u00a0This was their result \u2026<\/p>\n

After all the students completed their final planet Saturns (what excites them), the grade two boys glued them onto the canvas.<\/p>\n

I will deliver it to the Burnaby Art Gallery next week. \u00a0They prepare all the art pieces, from the classes at schools who choose to participate, for proper display. We will all be invited to the Grand Opening Night. \u00a0I will let you know when it is. \u00a0It is usually in April.<\/p>\n
