These wings are covered with a taut skin while the bat&#8217;s body is covered with fur. \u00a0Students showed this fur with the addition of lines. \u00a0We reviewed the art element of &#8216;texture&#8217; &#8211; how something feels or how it <strong>looks<\/strong> like it feels.<\/p>\n<p>We then repeated this drawing process onto light grey construction paper, also initially in pencil. \u00a0Once they had completed their pencil drawings they went over those drawing lines with oil pastels. \u00a0They then added a few &#8216;seasonal&#8217; bits of extra scenery such as pumpkins, grass, stars, and a moon.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/sd41blogs.ca\/temples\/files\/2014\/10\/0022.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-1401\" src=\"http:\/\/sd41blogs.ca\/temples\/files\/2014\/10\/0022-300x177.jpg\" alt=\"002\" width=\"300\" height=\"177\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sd41blogs.ca\/temples\/files\/2014\/10\/0022-300x177.jpg 300w, https:\/\/sd41blogs.ca\/temples\/files\/2014\/10\/0022.jpg 637w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/sd41blogs.ca\/temples\/files\/2014\/10\/0031.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-1402\" src=\"http:\/\/sd41blogs.ca\/temples\/files\/2014\/10\/0031-300x168.jpg\" alt=\"003\" width=\"300\" height=\"168\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sd41blogs.ca\/temples\/files\/2014\/10\/0031-300x168.jpg 300w, https:\/\/sd41blogs.ca\/temples\/files\/2014\/10\/0031.jpg 636w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>If you are by the school, please drop in to see their work. \u00a0I think they are wonderful!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Last Friday we had our first &#8216;directed drawing&#8217; lesson. \u00a0We drew bats as we have just begun our study on them.
