{"id":1246,"date":"2014-01-25T21:35:20","date_gmt":"2014-01-26T05:35:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sd41blogs.ca\/temples\/?p=1246"},"modified":"2014-01-25T21:35:20","modified_gmt":"2014-01-26T05:35:20","slug":"jolly-postman-booklets","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sd41blogs.ca\/temples\/2014\/01\/25\/jolly-postman-booklets\/","title":{"rendered":"Jolly Postman Booklets"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/sd41blogs.ca\/temples\/files\/2014\/01\/001.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-1247\" alt=\"001\" src=\"http:\/\/sd41blogs.ca\/temples\/files\/2014\/01\/001-300x225.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sd41blogs.ca\/temples\/files\/2014\/01\/001-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/sd41blogs.ca\/temples\/files\/2014\/01\/001.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We have spent the last two weeks wrapping up our Fairy Tale unit.\u00a0 We explored a variety of &#8220;Cinderella&#8221; stories and learned that almost every country \/ culture has its own version of this tale.<\/p>\n<p>We then created our own fairy tale booklets in the style of The Jolly Postman &#8211; books which we began our unit with in December.\u00a0 These are hanging on display on our bulletin board in the hallway.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/sd41blogs.ca\/temples\/files\/2014\/01\/003.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-1248\" alt=\"003\" src=\"http:\/\/sd41blogs.ca\/temples\/files\/2014\/01\/003-300x225.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sd41blogs.ca\/temples\/files\/2014\/01\/003-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/sd41blogs.ca\/temples\/files\/2014\/01\/003.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Each booklet has three &#8216;envelope pages&#8217; which contain: a Three Pigs jigsaw puzzle; a letter to the Three Bears from Goldilocks (apologizing for her behaviour); and a Jack and the Beanstalk activity.\u00a0 The students all worked very hard with the many steps involved in putting together these booklets.\u00a0 I think they look great.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We have spent the last two weeks wrapping up our Fairy Tale unit.\u00a0 We explored a variety of &#8220;Cinderella&#8221; stories and learned that almost every country \/ culture has its own version of this tale.
