This includes: speaking in group situations (at the carpet or during seat discussions); when they are speaking individually amongst each other; listening to the teachers during teacher directed group activities; listening to the teachers when being spoken to individually; being quiet and listening during Music Listening time and other P.A. announcements; and other times as directed.<\/p>\n

2. We use polite words.<\/p>\n
This includes socially acceptable, positive language.\u00a0 It excludes swearing, cursing, or using demeaning words when speaking with or about other students or staff members.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
3.\u00a0 We are kind to others.<\/p>\n
This includes helping, thoughtful, and gentle behaviours.\u00a0 It excludes behaviours meant to keep others from being included in activities or which would make\u00a0others feel badly about themselves.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
4.\u00a0 We keep our hands and feet to ourselves.<\/p>\n
This is intended to ensure that all members of the class (staff and students) are free from being physically touched in a manner that would be deemed harmful to themselves.\u00a0 This includes (but is not restricted to): hitting, kicking, punching, and poking.<\/p>\n
