Today a three year-old showed me around Byrne Creek. \u00a0I was curious! \u00a0Where would he take me? \u00a0What would he show me that I had never seen before? \u00a0Will we be here for the hour we planned in this rainy, windy weather? \u00a0 He has been spending every morning in these woods. \u00a0What has changed for him? \u00a0What has stayed the same?\u00a0 I like to call this forest “The Whiling Woods”.\u00a0 It’s a good place to take a “while” and explore.<\/p>\n

The mud and the puddles were our first stop. (They aren’t there every day!)<\/p><\/div>\n

We checked in with the fairies to see if anyone was home.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"\"

Next, we found ourselves in the clearing where the space opens up and invites us to run!<\/p><\/div>\n

\"\" \u00a0\"\"<\/p>\n

Here the old walnut trees offer their roots for us to practice balancing and hopping.<\/p>\n

We spent a while fishing in a\u00a0 favourite spot.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"\"

It takes a while to appreciate things large…<\/p><\/div>\n

\"\"

..and small.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"\"

There is always something new to discover and more to learn about.<\/p><\/div>\n

We will always find mountains to climb, but we will get there…<\/p><\/div>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

…it just takes a while.<\/p>\n
