3. What skills did you use to create success?
4. What was one problem you had? How did you overcome it?

I mostly enjoyed selling my product to others. They looked very happy when they wore my rings. I discovered that I am a decent Entrepreneur, and can sell stuff. skills I used was smiling and being kind to people even if they do not buy my rings. One problem i had was not having the right ring size so i just sold my rings at the end of the show for about $2 cheaper.
Young Entrepreneurs was fun. I enjoyed making dinosaurs to sell. I also made a poster advertising my product.
Thank you.
I enjoyed the young entrepreneurs fair because it was really fun to sell fun squishy stuff to younger kids with my friends. I discovered that I can be VERY loud, but I could’ve been louder. The skills I used to create success are kindness and a loud voice. One problem I ran into was being too quiet. I overcame it by being louder, but the downsides to being loud are headaches.
What I personally enjoyed was earning extra money! What I discovered about myself was that i don’t like YE, I dislike YE. I used my Asian “market” selling powers! One problem I had was that nobody bought from me, but how i solved that problem was go around asking people to buy from me.
I enjoyed most about the fact we were able to sell all of our product. I spent 2 months doing crochet and making yarn items and I sold them all in just less than an hour. I made around 50 dollars.
I discovered that I know how to talk like a businessman. I also managed to make a product that sold out quickly using popular trends among adults and children.
I used my crochet skills to make my product and also my knowledge of popular things among adults and children like video games; such as Minecraft, targeted for children, and botany and hairclips, targeted for adults AND students.
One problem I had was how much time it took between each product for the cubical/blocky keychains. It took around a week to make 2-3 keychains and I was slowly running out of time in the two months. To overcome this issue, I set a time for me to do crochet and the plan was to focus on crochet and get as many faces of the cube done in 3 hours, from 9pm to 12 am.
I enjoyed seeing what others were selling, how people were selling it, and how they sold it (their marketing strategy). I also liked watching how people enjoy my product and how people gave me compliments on it. I discovered that when I sell things, I find it very fun and somewhat educational because making it, selling it, and counting the money helps me learn more about mental math, and lets me find new calming hobbies. A problem I had was that I had to share my tablecloth with a friend, but my tablecloth was very small and had the edges of the table showing. To fix it, I put decorations and displays on it so it wouldn’t show as much.
What I enjoyed is that people actually bought my items, but I still had a loss of money which was sad. What I discovered about myself is that I have a very loud voice for business, and don’t always think your business would be successful. I used negotiating skills to convince people that the product price was a good price. The only problem I had was not enough customers, so I had to yell “magnets for sale” then people started to actually look at my product.
Q1. I enjoyed seeing people delighted over my products and also getting extra money. On the show day I got compliments, praises, and $214. I advertised days before, but I didn’t expect my customer’s desire and rush to get my products. Under 1 minute after the doors opened, my keychains were sold out. I felt very appreciated.
Q2. I discovered that I am not good at counting change… I took like 5 minutes counting someone’s change and still messed up eheh.
Q3. I used my creativity skills to make my products like keychains, magnets, and bracelets.
Q4. One problem I had was counting change. I had to overcome it by asking my customer to help… In the future I should sort my change. Another problem I had was finding the amount I earned (not profit just total I got). I had at least 15 bills and 100 coins. I got help from Ms. Clarke and VICKYYYYYYYYY.
I enjoyed making slime. And my pre-order was about 8.
I discovered that I love to make my own business.
Skill I used to create success is by getting customers to my business.
One problem I had was seating for a long time and how I overcame it is by moving when I had the time to move.
One thing I enjoyed about the Young Entrepreneur Show is that I got an opportunity to make money that I get to spend freely without my mom caring what I spend it on because I earned it myself.
I discovered about myself that I can never be a business entrepreneur associated with making and selling products. I hate having to try to make sales to people who only touch. I’m also not the best at counting money for change very quickly while people are staring at me.
I used my skill of talking to people to make sales by suggesting products and giving small discounts. I also used my skill of learning quick to learn how to make a bunch of pipe-cleaner flowers in time for the show.
One problem I had of the many, is that I didn’t have any hot glue for sticking my petals together. I fixed this by asking around for hot glue, and on the day before the show, I got a hot glue gun from Gabriel and walked to Ashley’s house to get hot glue sticks. I was so glad when I got that hot glue because before that, I thought I was doomed.
I pretty much enjoyed the Young Entrepreneurs Fair. It was quite the experience. I mostly enjoyed the fact that we were able to make extra money. I don’t think I’ve ever had the opportunity to make money (especially during school). But I enjoyed that we could make our own stuff, show off what we can do, and then sell them.
I discovered that I can not start a business associated with selling products. I don’t have the mindset of a business entrepreneur. But i also discovered that if i try hard enough to get things done, I will get them done on time.
I used my talking skills to talk to my customers, I greeted them kindly and explained everything to them. Even if the people did not want to buy my products, I still greeted them kindly. I also used my skill of quickly learning how to make the designs of my keychains.
One problem I had was not making the keychains tight enough to the point it just breaks. I realized 3 days after I started making my products. Once i realized, i restarted and started making them tighter to the point they didn’t snap anymore.
Q1. I enjoyed seeing customers excited face and the reaction to my product. Also, I felt proud of myself when teachers gave a positive comment about my product.
Q2. I noticed that it was not that hard to talk and stop customers. At first I was scared if I could talk to them to give information about my product, but when the show had began, it was not that fearful.
Q3.I used my communication skills to stop customers, like saying Hi and explaining about my product or how to use my product.
Q4. One problem I had during the show was that little kids seem to not understand how to use my product (drink coaster). I overcame it by showing them how it works and how they can use it.
I enjoyed making money with the Young Entrepreneurs fair as I got to make money while having a good time with friends. I discovered that I’m a pretty good salesman 3 teachers said so :-). To create success I gave people with less money or people who weren’t willing to buy a little bit of a discount so they would rethink and say to themselves “wait maybe i should buy his product”. One difficulty I had was people asking ” How long does it last?”, as I had not tested it, so what I would say was “to be honest I don’t know because I haven’t tested them” and most of them would say “fair enough” and buy it anyways.
I enjoyed the time when I brought items from my friends and I also enjoyed the money I got because it’s a relief to know that once I had the money, I didn’t owe my mom $16 anymore. I also discovered that I had a really hard time talking to people that I don’t know. I literally had to force myself to talk to ppl because if I didn’t, ppl would avoid my store. I had a positive attitude towards learning, that gave me hope to succeed in my plans.
I enjoyed just sitting there and doing nothing, because I did not want to socialize with people, but they still did purchase my things despite me not socializing much. I also enjoyed making my product, and decorating our table.
I actually didn’t discover anything, just that I suck at selling stuff and socializing, which I already knew. I also discovered I hated YE.
I used no skills because I have none so I used none. My teacher said that I had personal management skills of honesty, and being able to manage my time and money.
One problem I had is I didn’t socialize or interact with customers a lot. I barely spoke to any of them until they did first, that was mainly only the problem I had and I didn’t fix the problem.
I enjoyed people having smiles on their faces when buying the things they wanted at the fair. I also enjoyed buying other peoples products and testing them out with other people because it was fun interacting with other students and looking at their products.
I discovered that interacting with other students in the school is way easier then I thought it would. I don’t really interact with people besides my friends and teachers, so it was very nice to talk with other students.
I used my communication skills to interact with other and explain to them about the pre-orders. The explanation itself was pretty simple. so it was pretty easy communicating with the students.
The one problem I had was I didn’t finish my 20 drawing in time. It took a long time to finish and it takes a while to look for something that people like, before the day of the fair, I stayed up till around 2 A.M, thinking about what to draw. On that day, I overcame it by adding the pre-order paper (which most people did).
I really enjoyed the YE show for many reasons, but my favorite part was earning extra money and seeing what my friends made. It was so amazing seeing my friends creativity really shine and there were so many unique products that I didn’t even know which ones to get.
I also enjoyed seeing someone smile after buying my product. I tried my best to be as kind and polite as possible to attract customers and it worked. I even almost sold out with 32 out of 36 products sold.
I discovered that I didn’t like being an entrepreneur as I expected. Of course it was a very helpful and fun experience teaching us on how to start a successful business, but sadly I don’t think that career is for me.
I had 2 problems. One of the problems I had were little kids trying to scam me by giving me 4 $0.25 cent coins and saying it was $4, though it was funny they did get mad at me when I tried to tell them that it was only worth $1. Another problem I had was with my products. Some people could not identify what the item was and I was also scared that the keychains weren’t tied tight enough and people would ask for a refund, but luckily it worked out fine and I hope that everyone enjoyed stopping by my stand.
Q1. I enjoyed the Young Entrepreneur show for various reasons. My favorite part was definitely making money. Even though I made only a profit of half the actual revenue, it was still shocking to me that I was able to make the amount I made. I also enjoyed looking at what others made as well as buying from them.
Q2. I discovered being an entrepreneur isn’t really my thing. I don’t think this type of business would suit me in the future either. I also think I’m not good at socializing and talking to others.
Q3. I didn’t really use any skills other than managing my money I guess.
Q4. One of the problems I had was with the little kids. A lot of the kids didn’t know how to count so I would have to count their money for them. Another problem was whenever one kid came, all their friends would follow them and come to my stand as well. This was a problem because they would all start asking questions and try to buy from me which was sort of stressful sometimes. Another big problem that happened that day which was sort of funny was when this little girl came to my stand and started to fake cry. She also kept saying something like “PLEASE GIVE THIS TO ME FOR FREE, I’m so jealous of my family.” This was hard to deal with because she stayed for a really long time but eventually just gave up because I just kept saying “Sorry no.” I overcame these problems by just cooperating with those who couldn’t count, and I just said no to the girl that was causing trouble.
I enjoyed selling my squishies to customers. I enjoyed buying products from other people also. Each time people bought a squisy from me, that recharged me percent by percent to keep going. 50% of people just looked at it and left🥀.
I learnt that my product and I SUCK at selling. I barely made any profit (maybe ~$10). I also learnt that selling is very hard (standing, keep having to talk, and always having to keep my eye on my stand).
I made discounts if someone brings their friend and the friend buys it. At the end, I gave things for free or for 10¢. The friend discount worked very well.
The problem was that there was too much competitors that sells squishies too. I tried to, but I could not overcome it because I could not destroy other business like a godzilla that was crashing out. I tried to make the price 50¢ (no joke) and people still ignored my stand. So, to conclude, my business was a FALIURE (well, mostly because I made ~ $10).
Something I enjoyed about the YE show was that I got lots of compliments from young students to adults. I also really enjoyed seeing other people’s hard work getting tons of recognition. I’m truly fascinated by what these Young Entrepreneurs can do! Everyone is so original, creative, and hard working. I am truly glad to be in a class with all these people.
I discovered that I do not enjoy being an entrepreneur. I admit that it was an enjoyable, lively, and pleasing experience, but as expected, I just couldn’t see myself in the future being an entrepreneur, mainly the cause is that I’m not a social, lively, outgoing, or an extroverted person.
I did not come across any problems in general, but I really lacked eye contact, communication, and social skills with my customers. I had practiced at home before the show, but I was really nervous, that suddenly the wall looked really interesting.. I did end up warming up a little bit in the end.
A problem I had was that at first, I was really stiff, and straightforward, which probably made me come off as scary and like a big bully.. so I had to put on a smile and talk to my customers more. Surprisingly, I had attracted more people to buy my stickers when I started smiling and being all cheery.
Something I really enjoyed was talking to the customers and selling them my stress balloons and i am glad i came to the YE show. It was a lot of fun.
I discovered that i can become really good at selling things and starting my own business and i actually sold a lot and these are the skills i used. Talking loud enough so they can hear and i was confident. And another thing i will mention is that i used my experience and my brain also. It was a really fun time and i was really tired and i felt great making my products’ cause it was also easy to make. My tips to younger YE kids is have smt (something) interesting.
1) I like making money
2) I discovered i can do young entrepreneurs in this age
3) I remembered to bring the right thing for the right day
4) I had one problem. I did not have a tablecloth. Ozair brought me the paper to cover the table
One thing I enjoyed about the YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS is that when the people smile, look happy, and buy my products! I also enjoyed making extra money!
I discovered that I am not the best at selling stuff, because I was interested into other products and wandered away.
I don’t know
A problem I had was that most of the people at my table weren’t going to even buy my products at all
