Happy Monday!\u00a0 I hope you guys enjoyed the weekend even though it was raining.\u00a0 Our CLASS MEETING will be on WEDNESDAY from 11:00 to 11:30. During our CLASSROOM MEETING, I want you to discuss one (or more) aspect of your culture.\u00a0 It can be about a favourite food, holiday, or celebration.\u00a0 This will relate to our upcoming Social Studies\/Career Education (SS\/CE) assignment.\u00a0 You\u2019ll learn more about that in today\u2019s schedule. Here is today\u2019s schedule:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>PE WITH JOE or JUST DANCE videos \u2013 Choose between PE WITH JOE or choosing JUST DANCE videos. If you have some other exercise that you found online, then do that. Exercising every day is important to your overall health.\u00a0 We\u2019re going to increase our time for PE WITH JOE or the JUST DANCE videos up to 30 minutes.\u00a0 Try your best to get your 30 minutes of exercise every morning. \u00a0This is part of our regular routine. Drink plenty of water and take breaks when needed.<\/li>\n<li>RAZ KIDS \u2013 This week, I want you to do 30 minutes of RAZ KIDS. Try your best not to go over the 30 minutes that I ask.<\/li>\n<li>POETRY \u2013 This week, I\u2019ve uploaded a POETRY PPT PROJECT that I want you to work on. You will be creating a PPT based on the poems that you have learned:\u00a0 acrostic, alliteration creature, cinquain, haiku, and limerick.\u00a0 Read the instructions for the PPT on MS TEAMS.\u00a0 The due date is FRIDAY, JUNE 12<sup>TH<\/sup>.\u00a0 If you need more time to complete it, that\u2019s okay. Have fun creating it!<\/li>\n<li>MATH \u2013 I want you to continue with IXL this week. I want you to do the questions to 30 minutes.\u00a0 Grade 4s, I want you to do the questions for ADD AND SUBTRACT DECIMALS:\u00a0 WORD PROBLEMS.\u00a0 Grade 5s, I want you to do the questions for CHOOSE DECIMALS WITH A PARTICULAR SUM OR DIFFERENCE.\u00a0 These questions should be review right now.\u00a0 If you make any mistakes, read the corrections carefully.\u00a0 If, you need to review how to do addition or subtraction with decimals, review the following video on youtube:\n<ul>\n<li>MATH ANTICS \u2013 DECIMAL ARITHMETIC (type in your internet browser the following):\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=kwh4SD1ToFc\">https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=kwh4SD1ToFc<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>MATH \u2013 I also want you to play the games on COOL MATH 4 KIDS for 20 minutes. Play the addition and subtraction games for 10 minutes.\u00a0 Then play the multiplication and division games for another 10 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>SCIENCE \u2013 This week, we are continuing our look into biomes and focusing on the DESERT BIOMES. I\u2019ve uploaded a new article that I want you to read on MS TEAMS under the CLASS MATERIALS folder.\u00a0 Click into the CLASS MATERIALS folder and then click into the SCIENCE folder \u2013 then you should find the article ALL ABOUT THE DESERT BIOMES.\u00a0 I want you to read the article and answer the questions at the end of the article.\u00a0 All of the answers to the questions will be from the article.\u00a0 Upload your answers on MS TEAMS. All of these different groups have unique cultures and belief systems.\u00a0 In Canada, we live in a multicultural society where there are many different types of cultures. \u00a0In our classroom, we have many different cultures. \u00a0Celebrating and respecting different cultures is very important.\u00a0 Learning about different cultures is really important.<\/li>\n<li>SS\/CE \u2013 So, what I am assigning this week is a FAMILY CULTURAL PROJECT. The instructions to the assignment has been uploaded to MS TEAMS.\u00a0 The due date for the FAMILY CULTURAL PROJECT is FRIDAY, JUNE 12.\u00a0 Upload your finished project on MS TEAMS.\u00a0 I have given a variety of options to creating this project, but I think a PPT would be easiest to upload onto MS TEAMS.\u00a0 This is supposed to be a fun and educational assignment to learn about your own culture.\u00a0 It is a great time for family discussions and to learn about family history together.\u00a0 You can call or video chat with grandparents, uncles, aunts, and cousins to gain more knowledge.<\/li>\n<li>PRACTICE TYPING with Dance Mat typing or if you found a website that you like, then you can use it. If you have completed Dance Mat, you can redo it for now. Practice for 20 minutes.\u00a0 Practicing everyday will help you get better at typing.<\/li>\n<li>MUSIC \u2013 Please remember to check Fletcher\u2019s blog for updates.
