Before I begin with the daily schedule, there was some big news that happened this past Friday.\u00a0 It was announced that schools in B.C. would be open on June 1 on a voluntary and part time basis.\u00a0 Things will look differently going back into the schools.\u00a0 One thing that we have to keep in mind is that we need to make sure that we continue to wash our hands, remain socially distant from each other, and stay home if you are sick.<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, I hope you guys enjoyed the long weekend and spent some quality time with your families!\u00a0 This week, we will have our CLASS MEETING for TOMORROW from 11:00 to 11:30.\u00a0 We\u2019re going to do a SHOW and TELL for this CLASS MEETING.\u00a0 I want you to bring ONE thing that you have that is special to you.\u00a0 It can be anything from a favourite toy to a pet to a favourite picture to anything that you want.\u00a0 I want you to explain what you bring to our SHOW and TELL and explain why it is important to you.\u00a0 Try your best to be apart of the meeting.\u00a0 Please make sure that you mute your microphone while someone is speaking. Here\u2019s today\u2019s schedule:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>PE WITH JOE or JUST DANCE videos \u2013 Choose between PE WITH JOE or choosing JUST DANCE videos. If you have some other exercise that you found online, then do that. Try your best to get your 20 minutes of exercise every morning.\u00a0 Drink plenty of water and take breaks when needed.<\/li>\n<li>RAZ KIDS \u2013 Let\u2019s get back with RAZ KIDS this week guys! I want you to do 20 minutes of RAZ KIDS.<\/li>\n<li>POETRY \u2013 This week, I want you to complete 2 HAIKU poems! I\u2019ve uploaded the guidelines (instructions) under the CLASS MATERIALS folder on MS TEAMS. Once you click CLASS MATERIALS, then click into ELA, and then finally click into the POETRY folder \u2013 then you should find the guidelines for writing a HAIKU. \u00a0\u00a0Read it carefully \u2013 be aware of the rules for a HAIKU:\u00a0 understand the syllable count for each line.\u00a0 The due date for your 2 HAIKU poems is FRIDAY, MAY 22<sup>ND<\/sup>.\u00a0 Upload your poems on MS TEAMS.\u00a0 I want you to watch a video on youtube titled:\u00a0 HAIKU ELEMENTARY LESSON to get some background information on writing haiku poems. \u00a0In your internet browser, type in:\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=hkiTLxIQhdw\">https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=hkiTLxIQhdw<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>MATH \u2013 Today, I want you to continue to work on your MATH assignment: AREA AND PERIMETER OF DIFFERENT ROOMS IN YOUR HOME.\u00a0 The due date for this assignment is FRIDAY, MAY\u00a0 22<sup>ND<\/sup>.\u00a0 Please upload your answers on MS TEAMS.\u00a0 You need to show what formula you are using for area and perimeter.\u00a0 Also, you need to show what numbers you are using for your calculations.\u00a0 It\u2019s okay to use a calculator if you want to.<\/li>\n<li>SCIENCE \u2013 This week, we are continuing our look into biomes and focusing on the FOREST BIOMES. I\u2019ve uploaded a new article that I want you to read on MS TEAMS under the CLASS MATERIALS folder.\u00a0 Click into the CLASS MATERIALS folder and then click into the SCIENCE folder \u2013 then you should find the article ALL ABOUT THE FOREST BIOMES. \u00a0I want you to read the article and answer the questions at the end of the article.\u00a0 All of the answers to the questions will be from the article.\u00a0 Upload your answers on MS TEAMS.
