Hi everyone,<\/p>\n

Reminder: There is no school on Monday, April 26th!<\/strong><\/p>\n

We will be continuing our study of animals this week by compiling (organizing, choosing, publishing) our \"\"<\/a> research into our animal booklets<\/strong> and creating a representation<\/strong> (drawing, painting, loose parts art, model, playdough) of our animal, that students will have an opportunity to share next week.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This week in Math we will be learning about measurement. We will be practicing how to use non-standard units of measurement<\/span><\/em> and learning key terms such as length, height, and width.\u00a0 Non-standard units of measurement involves using different objects to measure and compare things.\u00a0 For example, how many paper clips across is my hand or how may of my shoes would fit across this basket or box.<\/p>\n

For Social Emotional Learning, our focus will be on empathy.<\/p>\n

Also, a reminder that our \u201cParents as Partners\u201d meetings are coming up next week. If you haven\u2019t already done so, please sign up using the link I emailed last week to select your preferred date and time.<\/p>\n
