How Can I Be A Good Digital Citizen? By Christine Zuchora-Walske

Task: 1. Go to the Gilmore Library blog http://blogs.sd41.bc.ca/gilmore-library/ scroll to find “Digital Citizenship – Weekly Learning Activity #3”

2. Read: How Can I Be A Good Digital Citizen? By Christine Zuchora-Walske on EPIC –AND/OR–Watch the videos about digital citizenship from the YouTube playlist from Common Sense Education found below…

3. Read the “Video Conferencing Guidelines for Parents and Students” PDF

4. Think: What are some ways that computers help you? What are some ways computers can be bad for you? What are some ways you can stay safe when using the internet?

5. Do: Write or draw pictures of what you will do to be a good digital citizen as you work and learn online, independently and with others –OR– Create a poster about what it means to be a good digital citizen

6. Put this in a place where you can see it, such as in your window or on your fridge, and be reminded each time you get online.

7. Take a picture of your creation and/or your writing to share with Ms Shellard.  If you are only sending a picture to me next week, please write a bit about it on a piece of paper (student writing please) to give me a bit of an explanation about what your poster/picture means. I will then post this to your Blogfolio.
