Our next type of poem is a Diamante poem. It gets its name because it is shaped like a diamond. Parts of speech to know to write a diamante poem: verb &#8211; action word ; noun &#8211; person, place or thing; adjective &#8211; a word to describe the noun. An antonym means opposite and synonym means words that mean the same thing (ex. big, large).
