Today we participated in the Stream of Dreams workshop.\u00a0 We got to learn about Salmon and Water Systems in our community.\u00a0 We also got to be artists and paint some beautiful designs on wooden Salmon.\u00a0 You will see them hanging on our school fence soon.\u00a0 Ask your child to tell you some ways to protect our Salmon.\u00a0 They had lots of great ideas during our discussion!<\/p>\n

Here are a few small changes that we can all make to keep our salmon safe: cleaning up our garbage; keeping rocks, sticks and garbage out of our drains; using vinegar or baking soda to clean rather than chemicals; washing our cars on grass, gravel or at car washes rather than over drains; keeping our dogs out of our streams and reusing containers; and water bottles instead of using throw away ones.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
