Dear\u00a0Grade\u00a07\u00a0Families,<\/span><\/p>\n

We would like to begin by sincerely thanking you for your continued support and cooperation, especially with our recent Dragon Boat field trip\u2014it was a great success thanks to you!<\/p>\n

As we approach the end of the school year, we\u2019re excited to share details about several important events that mark the culmination of your child\u2019s elementary school experience:<\/div>\n

Viking for a Day:\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

Date: June 3rd<\/div>\n
Time: 12 PM – 3:15 PM<\/div>\n
Location: Burnaby North<\/div>\n

Students will be heading to Burnaby North to participate in the “Viking for a Day” program. This event is designed to give students a better understanding of high school life, provide their schedules, and introduce them to peer mentors. A notice with more details will be sent home soon.<\/p>\n

Sports Day\u00a0<\/b><\/div>\n
Date: June 13th<\/sup><\/div>\n
Time: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM<\/div>\n
Location: Gym<\/div>\n

Grade 7 students will take on a leadership role in organizing and running Sports Day activities for the school.<\/p>\n

Cultus Lake Field Trip\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

Date: June 18th<\/div>\n
Time: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM<\/div>\n
Location: Gym<\/div>\n

To celebrate the end of the school year, students will enjoy a fun-filled day at Cultus Lake Waterpark. More details will be shared in an upcoming notice.<\/p>\n

Band Performance:\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

Date: June 17th<\/div>\n
Time: 1:30 PM<\/div>\n
Location: Gym<\/div>\n

Students who have participated in band this year will give our school a short performance so that we can share in all that they have accomplished and learned!<\/p>\n

Dinner & Dance:\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

Date: June 20th<\/div>\n
Time: 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM<\/div>\n
Location: Gym<\/div>\n

A formal invitation for this special evening has been emailed out. We look forward to a memorable night with our students!<\/p>\n

Leaving Ceremony:<\/b><\/p>\n

Date: June 26th<\/div>\n
Time: 9:10 AM – 10:15 AM<\/div>\n
Location: Gym<\/div>\n

We will gather in the gym to honor our students as they transition from elementary to high school. The ceremony will include speeches from our Valedictorians and the presentation of\u00a0Grade\u00a07\u00a0awards. Families of our graduates will be in attendance, and due to the expected turnout of 57 families, seating will be limited.\u00a0Please try and limit family members to 2 representatives per student.\u00a0<\/b>We appreciate your understanding.<\/p>\n

We are so proud of our students and look forward to celebrating these exciting milestones with all of you. Thank you again for your ongoing support throughout this year!<\/p>\n
