\nMy name is Sarah Badley and I will be a student teacher in your child\u2019s<\/em>
\nclassroom this year. As a student teacher, I am currently completing the<\/em>
\nhands-on portion of my certification by teaching lessons, supporting students,<\/em>
\nand assisting with classroom activities. I am excited to be working with your<\/em>
\nchildren and am looking forward to getting to know everyone.<\/em>
\nA little bit about me, I completed a Bachelor of General Studies in Educati<\/em>on with<\/em>
\nminors in Curriculum\/Instruction and Social Justice. While completing my degree<\/em>
\nI worked teaching a variety of community fine arts programs. I also coordinated a<\/em>
\nBC Provincial Support Group for people with alopecia through CANAAF. Having<\/em>
\npersonally been impacted by this auto-immune disorder, I\u2019ve gained a deep<\/em>
\nunderstanding of empathy, resilience, and self-acceptance, which I can use to<\/em>
\nhelp support students in building their self-confidence and overcoming<\/em>
\nchallenges. When I am not in the classroom you might find me with my two<\/em>
\nadorable dogs, playing piano, or baking.<\/em>
\nI am passionate about fostering safe spaces and creating an inclusive learning<\/em>
\nenvironment where all students feel valued, respected, and empowered to sha<\/em>re <\/em>their voices and ideas. My goal as a teacher is to help students develop a<\/em>
\nlife-long curiosity and love for learning. I am driven by the opportunity to make a<\/em>
\npositive impact on student’s lives and support them as they grow both inside and<\/em>
\noutside of the classroom. I value each student\u2019s diverse experiences and I<\/em>
\nbelieve they play a big part in enriching the classroom, ultimately helping us learn<\/em>from one another.<\/em>I am grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the classroom and Lochdale<\/em>
\ncommunity. I am excited to learn more about what makes Lochdale such a great<\/em>
\nplace for learning and hope to make a positive impact on the c<\/em>ommunity during<\/em>
\nmy time here! I am eager to connect with the students of Divisions 1 and 2 over<\/em>
\nthe next few months. I am looking forward to learning together.<\/em>
