A member of our Blogging Crew has found some interesting events going on in the news! Take a look below:
Hello hello! (As you probably know) I’m V and I am officially the class’s official NEWS LADY! (Applause) Thank you, thank you. I will write about happy news, exciting news, cool news, just positive news in general! With that out of the way, let’s light up your day! Here’s the daily news: Did you know there is now a pillow fighting championship?
Ouch! But still awesome right? It’s literally like boxing but with pillows! The rules are: no kicking, no punching, and all you must do is land the most hits on your opponent. Who knew a game you would play with your siblings at night would turn into a real championship! Would you play this full-fledged game? Let me know!
Did you know that February 24, 2022, in the United States is National Chili Day? This is where people celebrate and honor the legendary dish, chili! It’s also Flag Day in Mexico where the people of Mexico celebrate the legend of their flag. It’s also International I Hate Coriander Day, in the U.S. where haters of the herb, coriander, get together to, well I guess just like hate coriander. Apparently, hating coriander can be actually genetic! I guess because my family loves coriander, that’s why I do too! In Romania, they celebrate a holiday called Dragobete. Ten days after Valentine’s Day, it’s dedicated to nature and love. Independence Day in Estonia is the country’s national day that represents the founding the Republic of Estonia. National Toast Day in the U.K. and the U.S. is where we pay respect to the food that gets us through the day! Next is Tortilla Chip Day, also in the U.S. where everyone lays back, and eats these wonderfully crunchy chips. Unless yours are somehow soggy! What was your favourite day? Do you know of any of these or celebrate any of them? Let me know! Thanks for reading your weekly news and see you at school! (So, I know today isn’t the 24th, but blame it on Ms. Ramen for not posting it.)
