“Trudy’s Rock Story” (by Trudy Spiller) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ihLswp8dn0
When a young girl from the Gitxsan Nation argues with her brother. Instead of lashing out, she goes for a walk in search of a special rock. She diverts her negative energy into the rock. This engaging First Nation’s story teaches children that it is okay to have feelings and shows them how to process and release the negative thoughts or feelings.
Div. 10 students hunted for that special rock to take home and trust in forever.
They decorated the rocks with designs and/or writing to make them extra special.

Sorry, this update didn’t get posted earlier. Div. 6’s “In-School” students harvested the potatoes in mid June. The plants and potatoes were a much bigger than the ones we saw last year. Here are photos showing how large and healthy the plants looked just before harvesting.
Have you had the chance to walk by to see the planters outside of our school? The daffodils and tulips are blooming. What a beautiful Spring sight!!
Mr. Stefanek has more fitness exercises for us under the Fitness Activities tab in the menu. There’s a duck walk and the flamingo for you to try out. Keep recording your actiities on your Fitness Logs. Send it to me when the sheet is filled.
