Hello everyone,<\/p>\n

The end of November marks the end of term 1. It is a really busy time of year as students are getting ready for the winter concert, finishing term 1 units and beginning term 2 units, and working on projects.\u00a0 There are a number of events happening at Glenwood in the month of December, so please scroll to the bottom of this post for a list of important events.<\/p>\n

Report Cards<\/strong><\/p>\n

Term 1 report cards will be posted to MyEd on Thursday, Dec. 11th at 3:00 p.m.\u00a0 Report cards are an important communication tool that describe student progress and learning, as well as areas for further development.\u00a0 If you have any issues accessing your child’s report card, please contact the school office.<\/p>\n

Winter Concerts<\/strong><\/p>\n

On Thursday, Dec. 4th staff and students will be participating in Glenwood’s annual winter concert.\u00a0 We have been busy preparing for this event for many weeks and are excited to showcase student talent.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday, Dec. 10th students in Div. 1 will be travelling to Michael J Fox Theatre for a Winter Musical Showcase.\u00a0 This free event will feature performances by Burnaby South’s band, choir, and orchestra.<\/p>\n

On Friday, Dec. 19th Glenwood students will be treated to a pancake breakfast.\u00a0 This Glenwood tradition is the perfect way to celebrate the winter season and the last day of school in 2025.\u00a0 \u00a0Thank you to the Glenwood PAC for hosting this annual event.<\/p>\n

If you have visited Glenwood in the past week, you may have noticed the angel tree sitting in front of the school office.\u00a0 On the tree are tags from the Burnaby Christmas Bureau.\u00a0 Each tag represents a child living in Burnaby who may not receive a Christmas gift due to financial limitations.\u00a0 Consider choosing a tag from the tree and purchasing a gift for a child.\u00a0 Angel tree gifts are due back to Glenwood on Wednesday, Dec. 17th.<\/p>\n
