5. Watch the song Keys to the Forest by the band Mob Bounce who grew up in Northern BC.
6. Look at Holly Campbell’s art “Our Journey Canoe, Nation to Nation” Basket. This is what Holly Campbell says about her piece of art.
   1. “Our Journey Canoe, Nation to Nation” Basket- We once travelled far and wide
      from nation to nation on our sacred canoe. As we travelled on our almighty
      cedar, it gave us protection on our journey to our sacred house of healing. When
      we made it to our destination we were all welcomed with open arms. Song,
      dance, tears and teachings from our elders. We all sat and shared a meal
      together as we still do till this day.
7. Create a book for your father for Father’s Day. Go to the Father’s Day page to see the instructions for the activity. It’s the same idea as the Mother’s Day book.
8. Reading: Grade 1’s read a book on Raz Kids, Kindergarten’s spend 15-20 minutes listening to stories.

Optional Activities:

1. Play a math card game
2. Practice skip counting
3. Practice recognizing the different coins
4. Compete some addition and subtraction questions
5. Complete a writing page
6. Do story workshop
7. Create another Coast Salish inspired piece of art work
8. Make Bannock (if you do this, please send me a picture!!)
