  2. Watch Ms. Peters’ video for today
  3. Watch The Water Walker
  4. Watch Rosa Parks
  5. Watch the song Northern Lights by the band The Jerry Cans from Iqaluit, Nunavut.
  6. Look at Susan Point’s art Over Black Tusk. This is what Susan Point says about this piece of art.
    1. Over Black Tusk- The Black Tusk is a mountain that is a part of the Garibaldi Range of
the Coast Mountains, located just south of Whistler, BC. According to Coast Salish
legends, the Black Tusk is said to be the Thunderbird’s favorite perch. In my design, the
Thunderbird is covering the tip of the mountain, as though the creature was connected
      to the range
  7. Reading: Grade 1’s read a book on Raz Kids, Kindergarten’s spend 15-20 minutes listening to stories.
  8. Art: use Coast Salish design elements to create your own drawing. You can print and cut out the shapes to glue onto your creation, or your can try to draw your own design elements. Watch this video to learn about the Coast Salish design elements. I’ve uploaded a few documents on Teams, you can print the shapes and/or the outlines or just look at the documents to create your art (in a Coast Salish design elements folder). I used the design elements to decorate cookies a few weeks ago.
