These last few weeks the children have been focusing on using their Core Competencies skills during math time. <\/p>\n

Two activities they have enjoyed doing:<\/strong><\/p>\n

  1. Number-line sorting:<\/strong> As a way to jump start our Place Value unit, the children had to create numbers from 1-100o and organize them from least to greatest. Their challenge was to work as a group and organize all their numbers as a group. During this time the children got to practice their communication skills, as well as their co-operation skills. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    2.The answer is:<\/strong> The children were given an answer, and had to come up with the equation. It was amazing to see what questions they came up with. We have a lot of creative and critical thinkers! <\/p>\n
