Today we started our focus on Water, by seeing what we already know about water and the water system. The children were excited to share their responses.<\/p>\n
Here are some of their responses:<\/p>\n
“Water is healthy for us.”<\/p>\n
“We have a water fountain at our school.”<\/p>\n
“Water is made of hydrogen and oxygen.”<\/p>\n
“Rain comes down from the clouds.”<\/p>\n
“Streams, rivers, oceans, and lakes are water bodies.”<\/p>\n
“Water can be a solid, gas, and a liquid!”<\/p>\n
“Animals, plants, and people need water to survive.”<\/p>\n
“There are four types of rain clouds.”<\/p>\n
“Our community has water parks, sinks, washrooms, toilets, kitchens, that all need a water system.”<\/p>\n
Afterwards we went out across the street to visit our water stream. The children made connections and reflections about the area, and what it meant to our community. <\/p>\n
