Hi Division 3 Parents,
Today I sent home a permission form in regards to our upcoming class field trip to Science World on Tuesday, December 3, 2019. In the event the notice is misplaced, here is the information you would need to know.
The purpose of this field trip is to supplement our science unit on electricity and renewable energy.
The cost of this field trip is $20 per student. Please pay this fee online at https://burnaby.schoolcashonline.com/
anytime between Wed, Nov. 20th – Mon, Nov. 25th. Students are to return their permission slip to me on Tuesday, November 26th.
Upon confirming with Science World, personal memberships are unfortunately not accepted for school field trips. No student will be denied an educational opportunity due to lack of funds. If payment for this field trip is an issue, please approach me in confidence and we will find a solution. Any students who choose not to attend will be given an alternative assignment and spend the day in another classroom.
Seeking parent drivers and chaperones
If we are able to get at least 6 parent drivers, we may be able to travel to Science World by car. If not, our class will be travelling to Science World by public transit. In that case, our class will still need a minimum of 2 parent chaperones for the day.
If you are able to drive and/or chaperone for this field trip, please check the appropriate sections on the permission slip. Your help and time is greatly appreciated. Buckingham will be happy to pay for your admission fees and parking costs at Science World if you are able to stay and chaperone for the day.
