Dear Division 3 Parents,
We have several exciting events coming up at Buckingham in the next few weeks that we would like you to be informed of:
(1) WE SCARE HUNGER DONATION – Starting Now to Thu, Oct. 31, 2019
The goal of the We Scare Hunger campaign at Buckingham this year is to collect 800 cans of non-perishable food that our school can donate to the local Food Bank. This is a great opportunity for students to learn about giving back to the community and helping those in need. We encourage each student in Division 3 to bring in at least 2 cans of non-perishable food by Oct. 31, 2019. Our class goal is to contribute 60 cans.
(2) BUCKINGHAM PUMPKIN PATCH – Tue, Oct. 29, 2019
Along with our buddy class, students will have an opportunity to select a pumpkin to take home and a cup of hot chocolate. Each student is bring $5 to participate in this event. Make sure to dress appropriately for the weather as this will take place outside rain or shine.
(3) HALLOWEEN ASSEMBLY – Thu, Oct. 31, 2019
If students would like to dress up for Halloween, they are encouraged to wear their costumes for the afternoon on October 31st. We will be having a school Halloween assembly that will begin at 1:15pm. Parents are invited to join.
(4) WE DAY PARTICIPATION SUBMISSION – Deadline: Mon, Nov. 4, 2019
All Grade 6s who wish to attend the WE Day event on Tue, Nov. 19, 2019 at Rogers Arena must submit their written application by the first Monday of November.
