Hello Division 3,

Here is the Power to Conserve Slide Show from our science lesson this week.  You won’t need to this complete the 3 worksheets that I have assigned for homework due Thursday, Oct. 17.

But if you want to get a head start on studying for our final challenge next Tuesday, then the content you must review include:

(1) What “energy efficient” means
(2) Which scenario is more “energy efficient” in the 7 examples and why
(3) What phantom or standby power means
(4) How the agriculture, farming meat and dairy, food transportation, and food waste uses energy that produces greenhouse gases (GHG)
(5) What carbon footprint means
(6) Understand that the production of some foods result in more GHG emissions than other foods
(7) Know which type of food emit the most GHG (beef, lamb)
(8) Know that 25% of the world’s GHG comes from food production
(9) Know different ways you can realistically reduce your carbon footprint

I was very impressed by all the connections and logical thinking that I was saw happened last class, keep up the good work!!
