Games and Strategies
There are many different challenges which can be solved using logic and mathematics. Brain Games, a tv series created by National Geographic, puts common sense to the test as they quiz random people using riddles.
In this lesson, you will be questioning your common sense as you learn to use logic and mathematics to trick your opponent so you can win the game, every single time.
(Bracket), {brackets}, and [brackets]!
Math is a language.
If you write out your equations clearly people will read them as you intended. However, if you do not write it out or use brackets properly, then it can be misunderstood.
For example: √ 36-4
Some people may read this as: √(36) – 4 = 6-4 = 2
While others may read that as: √(36-4) = √(32)
Another example: √ 36/2
Does this mean: √(36) / 2=6/2
Or does it mean: √(36/2) = √(18)
Using Brackets
To make the meaning clear, you should use brackets.
You can also use brackets to show multiple layers:
