walking to the Library to sign our Children up<\/p>\n
for summer reading club. This year it looks a<\/p>\n
little different but still possible! The library has<\/p>\n
been very creative in delivering this program to<\/p>\n
you this year as well as a lot of other info for you.<\/p>\n

Summer Reading Club is launching online on Friday, June 12th<\/sup>!\u00a0https:\/\/bpl.bc.ca\/summer-reading-club<\/a>\u00a0. We\u2019ve had a lot of questions about the Summer Reading Club launch, so we have put together a digital package\u00a0(attached to this email).\u00a0This package has been sent to all the Teacher Librarians in your district and\u00a0contains Summer Reading Club promotion\u00a0information.\u00a0Please let me know if you have any questions!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Book Picks:<\/b><\/p>\n <\/p>\n The Burnaby Public Library’s\u00a0Children and Youth Services team\u00a0have also made virtual book recommendations for sharing with your colleagues, students, and families.\u00a0Here is the video for Preschoolers, Kindergarteners, and Grade 1s:\u00a0https:\/\/vimeo.com\/420707388\/7b3f84e629<\/a>\u00a0.\u00a0We hope this encourages kids to continue reading for fun this summer!\u00a0As a side note, this\u00a0video doesn\u2019t have the capability to be embedded into any websites or blogs, however, anyone who has the link may watch\u00a0it.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n We have also created grade specific online\u00a0booklists\u00a0for great e-books here:\u00a0https:\/\/burnaby.bibliocommons.com\/list\/share\/83430610_burnabykidsstaffpicks\/1616995890_bpl_kids_e-books<\/a>\u00a0.\u00a0Additionally, we have a Summer Reading Club themed list with print books and eBooks for Preschoolers:\u00a0https:\/\/burnaby.bibliocommons.com\/list\/share\/83430610_burnabykidsstaffpicks\/1649583579_summer_reading_club_picks_for_ages_three_to_five<\/a>\u00a0.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Paper Bag Pickup:<\/b><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Today, June 1st<\/sup>, Burnaby Public Library launched our curbside Paper Bag Pickup program:\u00a0https:\/\/www.bpl.bc.ca\/paper-bag-pickup<\/a>\u00a0. Patrons can now place holds on Print materials, including books and magazines, and also DVDs, audiobooks, and CDs.
