September Precept

The precept for September “When given the choice of being right or being kind CHOOSE KIND” this means to me, that if you choose right you’ll have no kindness because then you’ll be to busy correcting people of what they do and never make time to make friends, or have fun when you choose kind you can make friends and have fun all the things you couldn’t do when you were being right, you can be right when you choose kind but it’s always better to choose kind then right to have fun and have friends.

Goodbye Reflection

In this blog post I will be doing my reflection on the chapter “Goodbye” in the book: Wonder by R.J Palacio. From the name of the chapter, I had a feeling I knew what it was about. The start of the chapter was pretty sad. August, Olivia and Justin were gathered around a table with Daisy’s toys, sobbing with each other. My thought on this was that it was depressing. Seeing a family being torn apart, then having the pet pass away. I have not experienced anything like this ever in my life. The only thing I can really relate to this is my Hamster’s death, but Hamsters pass away very fast, and that made me realize that you should spend more time with everyone in your family, because each moments counts.

Maybe you can go out more, or even play at home. Like board games, video games, or TV games. If you are not that type of person, then you can help your parents with chores. Anyways, back into the reflection, I was questioning myself a lot after this chapter, like: “What will happen next?” or “Will August’s family act differently now?” or “will they get a new pet? Or will they not?” This chapter is one of the most effective chapters in this book. And possibly the saddest.
