A couple weeks ago we were learning about a place in B.C (I think) called Edible Canada and they served seal. So we had a debate or some sort about should we serve seal on the menu. Are teacher told us to write a comment about SHOULD SEAL BE SERVED ON THE MENU. Make sure to check it out.

Yes, seals should be served on the menu because there very nutritious and wouldn’t become extinct because they’re so many of them. If your vegan or something I understand you can’t eat meat. I know why many people are against this opinion,

well first of all people think there cute, well it’s true for me because I think seals are adorable but just because there cute doesn’t mean they can’t be killed. Another thing I wonder is that why shouldn’t we eat seal if we can eat bears, rabbits, frogs and more. Why could these other animals could be eaten but we can’t eat seal. So that’s my explanation of this debate let are class know would you eat seal and why.

Hi,In my class we were talking about harp seals on the menu my friends thought it was gross but i thought it was good we were having a vote then my friends decided that we would want to talk harp seals off the menu that’s when my teacher told us that we’re gonna write on our blogs about harp seals My thoughts is to eat seals because some people don’t  have a lot of food so they,might have to eat seals we should eat seals because there is a lot of harp seal We should not eat seals because they did not harm us also then they will be endangered specie for the past six years, nearly 400,000 harp seals were hunted by Canadians the population has declined rapidly by over 50% , and there were an estimated 5,500,000 Harp seal in 2004 harp seals can live up to 25 to 30 years in the wild  so that is all i have to say to you guys and girls.

You Should Absolutely Not Have Seals On The Restaurant Menu                             

 

             

Reason 1.there are not that many types of seals

Example – Harp seals could become extinct

Reason 2. If you kill a seal what will you do with the other parts

Example – the blood

Reason 3.people usually use seals for their other parts but they won’t be able to if the restaurants take them all

Example – the skin

And that’s why we should never ever have seals on the menu!

Should You Eat Seal?

 

     Eating seals is horrible and I entirely disagree with it. It is fine if the Inuit eat them because it is part of their culture and they use every single part of it. But I have seen pictures on the internet of people killing the seals, taking the meat or just the fur and leaving the rest of the seal to rot.

If we continue to kill and eat seals it will affect their population. I know some people disagree that that can happen but there is a chance it might. We are allowed to kill 400,000 seals a year. I know so far we have killed 35,000, but that still is a lot if you think about it. Killing seals will lead to endangerment and then extinction.

     I learned that when the seals are killed they are not dead right away. That is horrible! I also learned that even the babies are killed only when they are three weeks old for their fur. That affects the population even more.  

The world already kills enough animals and we can survive fine without eating seals. Cows, pigs, chickens, ducks, rabbits, sharks, fish and many more animals get killed to be eaten. If we keep killing animals and eating them there will be no more and will affect the whole food chain.

Some people think that seals should not be eaten because they are cute. Cows and pigs are cute but they should supposedly get killed. Their look is not important. They have feelings too.

So in conclusion, seals should not get killed. I hope these reasons have convinced you enough so that you have a different perspective on this problem and you will not choose eat seals.
