September Precept

When giving choice to be Right or Kind choose Kind.

I think that means when your at like a science fair. And you see something wrong you point it out and be right. But if your being kind you will say something like “good job” or “nice thinking”.But if your being kind you will say something like “good job” or “nice thinking”.

But if your being kind you will say something like “good job” or “nice thinking”.

Also i think you might be doing something bad by maybe stretching the truth and that would be mean and you could be right and kind by giving advice or tips to improving your work and giving an helping hand so i think being kind and being right go lots of different path and it all depends on what you choose to do with this precept-advice.

An example in the book a thing was easy to spot was when August gets a tour from some other students a kid named Julian says “(i forgot i need to bring the book home) and then August a couple minutes corrects him and its pretty easy to tell that August was being right instead of being kind but its kind of hard not rooting for august because Julian was acting like a jerk

September precept

Mr. browns September precept

If you have never read the book WONDER, then you should go to the library and get a hold of that. Cause well it’s a really good book! There is a part in the book that the main character August goes to an English class and his teacher is Mr. Brown. Mr. Brown gives his class a precept and today for August is September. So… Mr. Brown gives the class THE SEPTEMBER PRECEPT!! It goes like…:

When given the choice to

Be right or be kind

CHOOSE KIND

Then my teacher told us to write a refection about how do you

If you always be right then you would basically be mean. Because

You respect one and other then you would do the kind thing, like:

Classmate: “Hey! Why did you call me stupid!?”

Then classmate goes to teacher and tells what happened. Then teacher come to Me. next asks me:

Teacher: “why did you call your classmate names?”

Me: “One, I did not. Two: He called me stupid just because I was playing tag. Because I was it, when I got near him and he said “get away from me stupid”!

Teacher turns to Classmate. Before the teacher could say anything.

Other classmate (That’s friends with me): “it’s true, I was it as well and he did say stupid”.

Teacher: “Why did you call your classmate names?”

Classmate: “I don’t want to be tagged.”

Teacher: “well then, that’s how life is, I’m sorry. But can you please apologize to your classmate please.”

Classmate apologizes to me and I accepted

See that, the classmate could’ve 1) Choose to be kind and not make such a big deal out of it. Or 2) make a fuss out of a small problem.

Direction

1. You have to open to what your friend may like or dislike unless you guys like a lot of the same things.

2. When you have a friend make sure you honest to them because if your friend can’t trust you they probably will stop being your friend (remember trust is very easy to lose).

3. When your friend is going to do something you have to support him/her so they can succeed in what there trying to do.

4. Have kindness and respect towards them cause without being kind to them you can’t really be the best of friends (but you might have a little bit of an agreement one in a while).

5. Final step be brave and tell them how you feel when your sad make sure you also trust them that they won’t tell anyone you deepest secrets or anything like that.

Goodbye Reflection

In this blog post I will be doing my reflection on the chapter “Goodbye” in the book: Wonder by R.J Palacio. From the name of the chapter, I had a feeling I knew what it was about. The start of the chapter was pretty sad. August, Olivia and Justin were gathered around a table with Daisy’s toys, sobbing with each other. My thought on this was that it was depressing. Seeing a family being torn apart, then having the pet pass away. I have not experienced anything like this ever in my life. The only thing I can really relate to this is my Hamster’s death, but Hamsters pass away very fast, and that made me realize that you should spend more time with everyone in your family, because each moments counts.

Maybe you can go out more, or even play at home. Like board games, video games, or TV games. If you are not that type of person, then you can help your parents with chores. Anyways, back into the reflection, I was questioning myself a lot after this chapter, like: “What will happen next?” or “Will August’s family act differently now?” or “will they get a new pet? Or will they not?” This chapter is one of the most effective chapters in this book. And possibly the saddest.

Entomophagy

Last week on Tuesday our class had crickets. The first time when I saw the crickets it looked disgusting. When I tried the crickets it wasn’t that bad.Our teacher ordered the crickets but i’m not sure where he bought it.We ate the Crickets after the video. When  I was watching the videoo I learned that bugs are healthy for youThe crickets had two flavours one was honey mustard and barbeque.I liked the honey mustard because it was sweet but didn’t like the barbecue as much.I was just wondering if crickets can be edible without cooking it.
