October Precept

Your deeds are your monuments.

I think that means what you do will kind of stick on you like memories. and what you do will be remembered by everyone and people will think that’s the type of person you are depending on what you do or say and anything you do and in the book we are reading the main character august does alot of brave things and people remember him for that.

And also his friend jack did looks of things he is remembered by. Like he was friends with august. At first it was because Mr. Tushman asked him to be friends with august. But then later on it was proved that jack enjoyed being friends with august and its really boring without him. and alot of people thought that was cool of him.

Mr. Browne’s October precept

What I think Mr. Browne’s October precept “Your deeds are your monuments” means that whatever you do will be remembered by other people, and even after you die, you will be remembered for the big things that you have done in life on your monument (Or grave, Whichever you prefer). For example, Terry Fox had tried to run across Canada to raise money for cancer research, and even though he didn’t run the full way and had to stop halfway because his cancer had reached his lungs, he still raised a lot of money for cancer research, and even after he had passed away, people still remembered him for what he had done, in fact, there are even statues commemorating him and his deed. Basically, what I think this precept means, is that you will be remembered for the big things that you had done in life, even the small things, but you probably wont get remembered as much as you would for doing something big.

October Precept

Your deeds are your monuments. here`s an example; an elderly woman is walking down the side walk coming back from the grocery store when a skateboarder rides past and hits her knocking her down, a boy rushes over helps her up makes sure she`s okay, then carrying her groceries home helping her. This was videotaped, put on YouTube, and gone viral. Everybody loves that boy but the skateboarder is another story.

So what I think this precept is trying to tell us is to be do-gooders, be nice, Kind, and helpful. Because what if you’re the skateboarder and you just don’t know it yet. So think about what role you’re playing next time. Please. And okay I know nobody is perfect but can everyone at least try. Because the world I want to live in is where everyone is happy, prefect, kind, and pretty darn helpful. Peace out and remember this precept.

Sept Precept

When given the choice between

Being right and being kind

CHOOSE KIND

Here is an example of what I think this precept means, Say to people were having a conversation;

Girl: “do you know what is a precept?”

Boy: “Yes It’s a rule that’s really important, and it’s “do you know what a precept is” by the way.” he said rudely correcting her.

Was he being nice or being kind? He choose right, and he didn’t do it by accident he did it on purpose. That’s when you know its mean, Words can hurt you know… everybody has feelings, not just you.

Have you ever gone to work or school and a person had a really bad haircut? What would you say? Would you be right and say “Dude what’s with your hair” or would be kind and say “Hey nice haircut” Is there a choice? Yah I guess there is, but please make the right choice and choose to be kind. Because somebody I know chooses right, and nobody likes to be around them. My conclusion is…

CHOOSE KIND

Goodbye chapter reflection

While we were reading the book called Wonder, we stumbled upon a very sad chapter, in which the main character August loses his dog called Daisy. I feel bad for August because Daisy was practically his only friend before he had started school (Other than his sister), and even though he had lost Daisy after he had started going to school, I still think that it was especially sad for August because of his deformed face and that in school he didn’t have so much friends. On another topic, this also reminds me of how I had lost my fish twice, which was really sad for me. But then again, fish don’t really live that long.

march precept

HEY GUYS!! so today I’m back with a new article this is another PRECEPT. “kind words do not cost much yet they accomplish much.”

i think that means that kind words don’t cost money to say but when you say it it feels like you just got money that happy feeling when you get money i think that is what the precept means.
