| “Your deeds are your monuments.” is Mr. B’s October precept. I think this precept means every good thing you do will be like a memorable statue, because it will be your reputation and people will remember you for that. It is like when you help a friend out on a big assignment, he/she will know you as a helper, or someone that he/she can rely on, or maybe you helped an elderly person pick up his/her dropped groceries, he/she will remember you as a very kind and generous person, and maybe the next time you go back there, that exact person might remember you, and they might do something kind or generous back. Basically what i’m trying to say here is: Whatever good deed or action you do to someone else, it will act as a monument because it will build up what they think of you, or remember you as.
Now, because I have explained what i thought it meant, I will tell you a story about having my deeds as monuments, like a life story basically. So i remember this one time last year there was a teacher, or a person practising to be a teacher, helping my main teacher teach (That’s a lot of Teach’s). This person wasn’t always in the classroom, but we would see her at least 3 to 4 times a week, and one day I had to take the bus home because something was wrong with my Mom’s car, so we couldn’t use it, and I didn’t expect that teacher to be taking the same bus as me, so that was cool. We got in, payed the amount we were suppose to, then we sat down. The teacher was sitting near the front of the bus, which is a one seat, so it would be pretty cool to sit there, and then she drops a bunch of coins. At first, everyone just stared down at the coins, and since nobody was really doing anything, I decided to pick them up and hand it back to her. After that, she said thank you and i went back to my seat. I saw her a few times again that week, and now that i look back at it, i believe i built a monument of myself with that one deed 🙂 |

FOOD
Food is the best,
It overcomes the rest.
Fruits are nice,
If you add a little spice.
Ice tea is great,
Go ahead and buy a crate.
If you want some more,
Drive a car, to the store.
Now you know food is awesome,
It will rise and it will blossom.
O’ pizza, you can’t beat it,
Cook a hot dog, overheat it.
Turn around,
Sit right down.
Smell the air,
Ahhhhhh…quite fair!

ICE CREAM
Ice cream is the best,
It will overcome the rest,
Now you will say hey!!
ice tea is the greatest liquid in time,
Because I”m the best at making end rhyme!
division three is the best place to be.
we’ll show the people what we want to see.
then you guys will do some activity.
then everyone will want to come and plea.
Free Verse Poem.
When I grow up I would like to BE…
A lawyer who solves cases,
An artist who draws faces,
An engineer that fixes cars,
Or an astronaut who goes to mars.
A photographer who takes pics of nature
Or a writer who writes on tons of papers.
What would I want to be?
Well, that’s up to me.
April precept
What is beautiful is good, and who is good will soon become beautiful. -Sappho
I don’t thing this is referring to how somebody looks. I think that this is generally referring to how somebody is inside. Who they are and what they stand for. I agree with parts of this but if this was referring to looks, I would reject this precept. If your beautiful, how do you know that your not a bad person. If this means who you are, I agree totally.
When your beautiful on the inside, Your going to be a good person. And if your good on the inside, it doesn’t matter how you look, you will be beautiful. Imagine August from wonder standing right here. Is he beautiful, yes. Most people would say no right? Well not if your pure hearted. He is beautiful and always will be because he’s a good person. That’s how I see this.
Free-verse poem
Today I made a free-verse poem for the things I wish for. This is what I want:
One million dollars, a fancy house, to go to Disneyland, a lambroghini, Lego, and to go to the zoo.
Weekends
Hi everyone. I’m going to be sharing my free verse poem with you guys. Hope you enjoy it.
Weekends are fun.
We play in the sun.
We don’t have to go to school,
Which is very cool!
We lay in bed,
Like we’re dead.
We eat breakfast at ten,
With our hen, Ben.
After I watch TV
With my brother hairy Larry.
After I take my dog,
For a walk.
And then we go to the mall
We buy my dog a ball.
We shop
Until we drop!
Now the day is done,
Goodbye everyone!
