Things I Wish For
I wish for the power of the force
I wish I could do a course
On how to be a jedi knight
Learn how to fly a kite?

I am very grateful that the Beedie Group showed us what they do and gave us a tour around their office!!
They divided us into groups and at one point, one of the workers there said that whoever answers this question correctly and most quickly will win a prize. The question was “What is an important thing that workers [the people who build houses, etc.] should wear?”, the people who answered this correctly and quickly got a “hard hat” as a prize.
I really liked seeing the miniature models of buildings. (How cute!)
We got to see a building in progress (from inside the bus)!! Andrew, a worker from the Beedie Group, showed us big piles of sand called preloads. The preloads were used to compress the soil. We also got to see a bunch of workers lift a concrete wall using a crane. It was very cool!!
It was also an honour meeting Mr. Beedie, the founder of the Beedie group. We got to see his office (which had lots of models of planes, a treadmill and a TV).
I think it was very generous of the Beedie group to give us a free pizza lunch!! Thank you! I appreciate you guys for that!!
Hello fellow dream & nightmare lovers.
As you know (If you read my last blog) my Inquiry Project is on Dreams & Nightmares. I’m very ready to tell you all about the meanings of dreams, for instance, if you had a dream about Canines-(Dogs) It would possibly mean your thinking about friends, or family members.
Fact-Multiple people claim they do not dream, but the truth is we all dream just some of us don’t remember.
Fact-12% of people can only dream in Black & White.
Fact-When we dream we use all parts of the brain.
That’s it for now, hope you liked it.
Yesterday on May 10th we went to Burnaby Lake. We walked all the way there, at first I thought we would go to Deer Lake, but instead we walked all the way to Burnaby Lake. Then we kept walking for a long time. We saw some birds and plants. We went on the boat and just went for a ride. We did lots of rowing. It took so long for us to walk back, so we got back at three o clock. Now I have sore muscles from all that walking. That was way longer than the Walk-a-thon.
Heyyyy! this is my first i2 journal, My I2 topics about Pirates and i guess the first thing I should tell you is that I have made some progress into finding the things I need to know about my i2 project with Banchi. Banchi and I have had some trouble looking for some good sources. The first day we worked together, we were working on decoding a message… Don’t worry you’ll know soon. see ya in my next i2 journal update.
This is my second I2 its July, 6 2016
The thing is, pirates are usually heartless and just laughs, raises their swords while someone is about to jump from a plank! But its not true. A lot of pirates –NOT DONE–
When the Bard on the beach people came, we did some activities that were fun. My favourite one was when we did the sculpture garden. Another thing we did was we chose a coloured piece of paper that had a number on it. Then we got into a group with the people who chose the same coloured piece of paper. Then we got into number order from the lowest to highest number. My number was seven so I stood between number six and eight. The piece of paper had writing on it as well. What we did was starting from person one, we read the sentence that was on our paper with a pose to with our sentence.
My sentence was “Peace be with you sir, here comes my man”. My favourite part of the sentence was the part about peace because I think that peace is important. If there was no peace then we would have no respect for one an other. People would be fighting a lot, that’s why I think peace is important. I am very excited because on June 8th we will be going to see Romeo and Juliet at Bard on the Beach. I am also excited because I have never seen a Romeo and Juliet play before. I think it’s going to be a cool experience to see how the actors talk in different voices.
