VSO reflection

On the day of the masquerade, I was a bit nervous but also excited. I was nervous because I might’ve played the wrong note on recorder or something like that, but in the end it turned out alright. my favourite part about the masquerade was being able to dress up in fancy clothes and wearing masks because it made me feel fancy.

Another one of my favourite parts was when we got to decorate our on masks. There wre four different colours, Red, Blue, Silver, and Gold. My mask was blue, I decorated my mask with feathers, sequins, and glitter. for the masquerade I wore a hi-lo hemline dress, black boots and I curled my hair as well! After we played recorder, we danced to Mozart then hip-hop then Mozart the hip-hop.

It was interesting to dance to a song that had hip-hop and classical music together.

Beedie reflection

When we went to the Beedie group, we got to meet Mr. Beedie. It was very cool to meet Mr. Beedie because he is the founder of the Beedie group. When we were taking the bus to the Beedie group we took stops and saw construction sites. Andrew, a construction worker who works with the Beedie group, told us how long it takes to build buildings. When we got to the Beedie group, we split up into groups and had a group leader.

My group leader’s name was Amy, and she showed us around the office. We met another construction worker named Kenny. Kenny showed us blue prints of buildings that the construction workers are going to build. After we saw Kenny, we saw models of buildings they haven’t built yet. Amy told us the reason they build models is because then they can show the buyers what the buildings will look like. Then the buyers can buy the buildings in advance.

Overall it was a great trip. Meeting Mr. Beedie was very cool as well because he built a workshop at nineteen and he is still working at age ninety
