Maestro Tovey reflection

Maestro Bramal Tovey visited our school Monday and I’m doing a reflection.Something that got exited when Maestro Tovey was here was when he first played the piano. I was awestruck at how good he played the piano and he did it without having any notes in front of him(an accomplishment witch takes years of practice and skill). I might be interested in taking up piano lessons and more types of interments.

I was also surprised that when he said ” I need a volunteer ” and he choose someone who’s birthday it was witch is kind of reasonable as a birthday present for somebody. I really liked the guess what this piece of music is called. And I really liked what it was called. It was called why a really odd name for a piece of music it lasted 90 seconds in total.

Maestro Tovy Reflection by Stefan

Maestro tovey reflection

What maestro tovey taught me was that if you want something bad enough you will get it you just need to work hard enough. But the thing that amazed me is that he played Beethoven’s music from memory apparently that is very difficult but get this he is 62 people that are old usually have bad memory but has been playing piano since he was 7 and right now he is 62 so he has been playing piano for 55 years which is longer than some peoples carriers he had a lot of talent for someone his age. And making music on the top of his head (when he was playing music for miliya) but he also had a sense of humor and he has two daughters I think and a wife he is retiring soon so it has been really nice for him to come to our school.

Meet the maestro reflection

i really enjoyed the performance he did, especially when he played happy birthday to miliya. i was surprised of how he still remembered all the notes without looking, i actually never been a really big fan of music but now that i realize it it’s actually not that bad.

Music is fun when you get to watch/play a really cool instrument. now you may be thinking what do i want to play? well i’m not really sure about that yet but the guitar is pretty cool, besides that i actually really liked the performance.

Meet the Maestro Reaction

On Monday, we had a performance where we got to see Bramwell Tovey, a famous conductor/composer, who won a Juno award and a grammy, who came to perform for us… gee, I wonder what the odds of that happening are, but anyway, this is my reflection on the performance.

Listening to Bramwell Maestro Tovey reminded me of how important music is in life. Music is a major part of our lives. It is used to express feeling/emotions, it can be used as a form of communication, it can be used for entertainment, and these are just some of the things it can be used as. In fact, music can also help people that have dementia or alzheimers. Music, when used appropriately, can shift moods. You can go from sad to happy listening to just one song. If you use the right type of music, you can calm yourself down. At times, you may want to listen to a sad song just so you can feel that feeling, and it helps. Basically, what I’ve been reminded of is how music is definitely really important, because when your feeling down, then you can listen to some music and cheer up, and when your angry, you can listen to a calm song, and calm down, and sometimes you just feel like being sad, so you can listen to something sad, and it somehow cheers you up, and the final thing is that music is part of our lives no matter what, and it can help in many situations.

REFLECTION: MAESTRO TOVEY

Listening to & watching Maestro Tovey reminded me of how music is important.I think it is important because you can learn lots music and its also important because you might need music while you are growing up.Listening to Maestro Tovey playing piano is so amazing because when he plays piano he plays it so perfect.Watching Maestro Tovey make up a piano song for a girl at my school,he made up a song because it was her birthday that day.

When I’m felling a particular way, I like to listen to music because when I’m mad music calms me down and when I’m felling sad I like to listen to music.when I listen to music it makes me wonder about being a musician when I grow up.Often listening to music is amazing because there a different kinds of music that I like to listen to.

If I would play a instatement,I will play the piano if not the piano I would like to play the guitar.I would like to play the piano because the piano sound so nice when you play it,I would like to play the guitar because I like when you play it it sounds so nice and something else that I like about it is the is the strings because I like how they sound so different.

Reflection: Maestro Tovey

Maestro Tovey is an amazing british conductor! He came to our school and performed to us ( he even made up a song on the spot). He has won awards and traveled a lot of places to perform. It was a great honour to have him visit us!

Listening and watching Maestro Tovey reminded me how beautiful piano music is, and also that even though Beethoven lost his hearing, he still managed to compose great music (music that we probably couldn’t compose even with hearing).

I found it really cool how the Maestro could play the piano so fast! He made me think that music is sometimes hypnotic  because when I listened to the music, it made me feel hypnotized… weird.

I think that different kinds of music make me feel different things. For example, if you listen to loud, fast music, it might make you feel more energetic But if you listen to slow, relaxing music, it might make you calmer. I think this because at different points of a song that was played, it was fast, which made me feel tenser, but when the music slowed down, it made me calmer.

Music is amazing! It is so cool how music can effect (most of) us even though it isn’t a living thing. Just like computers and phones can effect our living and how we think, even though it doesn’t have a brain and emotions. (Or does it?)
