Dragon Boating Reflection

Dragon Boating was really fun. It was interesting getting in the boat and into the water. At first, I was scared of getting into the boat and sinking. But once you start paddling, that thought goes away!

I think dragon boating makes you learn different skills. You develop more strength when you really work the paddle. But, I think the skill that you develop the most of is communication. You have to get in sync with your team to get fast and move. So, you need to communicate very well with them.

You can use the strength skill with physical things. Like lifting and carrying. If you communicate with others in a group project you will likely get more work done than if you didn’t. Its easier to talk with others to get your voice heard than if you didn’t.

All-in-all, Dragon boating is helpful. In the game, and off the water.

April Precept

April Precept

“What is beautiful is good, and who is good will soon be beautiful.” —Sappho

What I think this precept means or what i think it’s trying to mean is that beautiful things are good and if you are a good person you will soon be beautiful and i think this precept was picked because of August you see his face was different from others but inside he was a really good guy and in his own special way he is beautiful and maybe this is reminding us that if we are good to everyone around us then we are beautiful in our own special way.

My next idea in what this precept could mean is not complete idea but it might also mean beautiful people are good? I don’t really think this precept is really trying to say that but I think I should at least put my ideas out there.

Things I Wish For

_________________________________________________________________________

I got a lot wishes.

But I don’t like fishes.

I want to be superman.

But there’s way too many super fans.

So I guess i’m mortal.

But I want to be immortal.

I want some money.

Because Kit Kats are yummy.

If you’re running out of wishes.

You can ask for some more.

But don’t forget…Be Careful what you wish for.
