Beedie Field Trip Reflection

Today April ,26 ,2017 We were very fortunate to get to see the construction site in Delta the Beedie group was working on and there company in Burnaby. It took us awhile to get to the construction site but it was worth it to get to see it.Andrew,a worker at the construction site was also on the bus told us a lot about the workers,the construction site,what  it used to look like and the wildlife that used to live here,another worker named Rea told us about the construction site too.Andrew and Rea took us inside the building,it was very big,there were lots of workers and it was cold in there.Then most of us (not me) went inside an excavator scoop and then we got to take a picture.After we went to the Beedie group company and we ate pizza Beedie group got.We weren’t able to meet Doctor Beedie but it was still lots of fun.Thank you to the Beedie group for taking time out of there work and teaching us a lot about the construction site,the company,workers and doctor Beedie. Thank you to the bus driver too for taking us there,if it wasn’t for them I wouldn’t be writing this blog and you wouldn’t be reading this blog.

During our visit on our field trip to the Beedie Group construction we got to see a new building that was about to get ready and got to learn how long they at least take  thirteen months for the building they were building. It was a very large building so they were going to finish it in a anther three months.they were working in the construction in Delta.They had started the building in 2016  June and was going to finish it in 2017 June.I also learned that Mr. Beedie started the company in 1954 so now Mr. Beedie is at least in his 90’s.We also went to the Beedie Group’s office and also had lunch there pizza.

Recycling:Our environment

From my point of view, is our community doing good enough in recycling?

I believe we aren’t being so smart with our choices we’ve made, as I have noticed most of the garbage ends up in the wrong bin. In my school lots of kids though Styrofoam cups,plates,bowls and lids go in the paper bin; Therefore it actually goes in the reusable bucket in the custodian’s room is. I question whether we can do better at keeping our environment clean or damage it more? In spite of being a clean and healthy environment we have to be physically and mentally to what we do next.Moreover the return it depot are finding cans,glass bottles,juice boxes and plastic bottles under the docks at the beach;Secondly, the pollution cause has gone higher than ever that the fishes are dying from the pollution.scientists say that in 5 billion years the world will end and if we pollute more than it could end sooner.

so lets go green!

Gay Rights

There’s no doubt that being  gay should be accepted around the world , in fact  kids are learning  about  it at a younger age than usual because there are a lot of marches, protests and festivals tribute d  to the gays/lesbians and Maybe there parents  are gay or lesbian And  we are trying to make a difference in the society and to show the people around the world to not be scared in there own   ,

and show them they don’t need to change who they are for other people And some of them are committing suicide due to lack of support and they are discriminated for their  sexual orientation.

And  who ever is Gay/Lesbian/Bisexual/Straight or Trans you should be happy in your own skin and remember that nobody is perfect.
