The April precept is: What is beautiful is good, who is good will soon be beautiful.
I think it means what is beautiful is good and who is good means that whoever is nice or does good will soon be beautiful.
This relates to August from Wonder, because even though he has facial deformities, he has a good heart, and the quote says that if you are good, you will soon be beautiful.
Personally, I don’t agree with the quote. First, because sometimes there are things/people that look good (beautiful), but are not always good. You could look pretty on the outside (looks good), but you could actually be mean (not good).
Second, there are other quotes that say everyone is beautiful, so why would the quote say that if you do good, you will soon be beautiful? Aren’t you already beautiful? I guess it depends on what “beautiful” means to you.
