Mr.Browne’s Dec is audentes fortuna iuvat which means fortune favors the bold.To me it means that if you want to bold or outstanding but not a showoffer,you have to work everyday.Work hard,go to UBC,get a job you enjoy working at,buy a house,a car too and live a happy life.If you don’t care about your life in the future,you shouldn’t care about studying,getting a degree and living happily ever after.If you want to be bold,you have to work for it.You have to study everyday for more than ten minutes and I promise you will be bold.Some pencils can come in handy!

I wonder whether this precept isn’t challenging us to be daring. We may have to be bold and go against what others expect from us sometimes. (I’m thinking about some artists & scientists who have challenged our ideas and even some famous characters from a story by Shakespeare we’ll be talking about soon.)
