Here are some important reminders and updates about upcoming assessments and projects.<\/p>\n<h3>Math Test \u2013 Monday, October 26th<\/h3>\n<p>Students will be writing a <strong>Patterns and Algebra<\/strong> math test on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>To prepare, students should review the following pages in their math booklets:<\/p>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li><strong>Grade 5:<\/strong> Pages 1\u201324<\/li>\n<li><strong>Grade 6:<\/strong> Pages 1\u201320<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Please take some time to review the concepts and practise any areas that you find challenging.<\/p>\n<h3>French Tests \u2013 Sign and Return<\/h3>\n<p>Students received their French tests today.<\/p>\n<p>Please remember to:<\/p>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li>Correct any errors on your test.<\/li>\n<li>Have a parent or guardian review and sign your test.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Return your signed test tomorrow, Thursday, October 22nd.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>World Explorer \u2013 Six-Week Inquiry Project<\/h3>\n<p>We have officially started our <strong>World Explorer Inquiry Project!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Over the next six weeks, students will become world explorers as they research a country of their choice. Using guided research questions, students will investigate their country&#8217;s geography, culture, traditions, landmarks, and other interesting facts.<\/p>\n<p>Throughout this project, students will practise important skills, including:<\/p>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li>Researching and finding reliable information<\/li>\n<li>Reading for understanding and identifying important details<\/li>\n<li>Writing information in their own words<\/li>\n<li>Organizing and presenting information<\/li>\n<li>Creating a PowerPoint presentation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>At the end of the project, students will share their learning by presenting their PowerPoint to the class.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Important Dates:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li><strong>Thursday, November 19th:<\/strong> Completed projects are due.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Monday, November 23rd:<\/strong> Class presentations begin.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Students will have regular class time to work on their research and presentations.
