What a beautiful day for another scavenger hunt!
\nI have created a second scavenger hunt for you.\u00a0 Go outside and see how many things you can find in your neighborhood.
\n\"\"<\/p>\n

Something fun you can do at home is make Salt Dough Ornaments. \u00a0My favourite ornaments on our Christmas tree are ornaments my daughters made when they were little. \u00a0Salt dough is very easy to make – even easier than the playdough we make at Strong Start. \u00a0The recipe and instructions are below. \u00a0Have Fun exploring and creating together \ud83d\udc95<\/p>\n

Salt Dough Ornaments<\/b><\/p>\n

Ingredients<\/i><\/p>\n

*4 cups \u00a0all purpose flour<\/p>\n

*1 cup salt<\/p>\n

*1 1\/2 cups warm water<\/p>\n

* paint, glitter & ribbon for decorating<\/p>\n

To make the dough add the flour and salt in a large bowl and then add in the warm water. \u00a0Mix it until it forms a ball and kneed it until it\u2019s soft usually takes a few minutes.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Then roll out the dough with a rolling pin to about 1\/8\u201d thick and cut out shapes with cookie cutters or even a large drinking glass. \u00a0Use a straw or tooth puck to poke a hole for the ribbon to go through to hang the ornaments.<\/p>\n

Bake for 1 hour on a cookie sheet at 300 F<\/p>\n

Once cooled you can decorate them with paint and glitter.<\/p>\n

Another fun thing to do is press your child\u2019s hand or foot into the dough to make a print.<\/p>\n
