The students are slowly adjusting to the new routine, schedule, people and environment, and they will continue to adjust in the coming weeks \u00a0Feel free to come and talk to us if you have any concerns (after school is best). Big Merci to Michele for putting together the Class Contact List!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Library<\/strong> will be every <strong>Wednesday<\/strong>, last week was our first visit! Please return the books every Wednesday so your child can choose a new book from the library.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Gym<\/strong> will be on<strong> Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays<\/strong>.\u00a0 The students wear their &#8216;inside shoes&#8217; in the gym so for that reason we are asking for appropriate shoes that have good traction.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Shoes<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A reminder to please <strong>not send your child to school with laces<\/strong> they cannot tie. \u00a0We change our shoes several times per day and you can imagine how much time it takes for the teachers to tie multiple students shoes!<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Late Procedures<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The outside classroom door will open every day after the first bell at 8:50AM and then it will be propped open with a door stop until the second bell at 8:55AM.\u00a0 <strong>If the classroom door is closed, it means the second bell has gone and you will need to bring your child to the office<\/strong> and they will get a late slip and sign in with the secretary and come through the school to the inside classroom door.\u00a0 We still ask that you say good-bye to your child at the door of the classroom and don\u2019t come in as it disturbs our learning (and they can hang their backpack and coat themselves!) Thank you for your cooperation with this!<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Dossiers: <\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We bought some special clear plastic folders that will serve as Home &lt;&#8211;&gt; School Communication bags.\u00a0 We will be asking the students to put it in the designated basket each morning after they come in.\u00a0 Please encourage their independence at home by asking them to get it out of their backpack and put it in a designated spot in your home each day.\u00a0 If you have any signed permission forms or would like to send us a note etc, please put it in this folder.\u00a0 If you are sending money to school for a Field Trip or Popcorn Day etc, please continue to put it in a labeled envelope with your child&#8217;s name and my name and Div.16 and then put that envelope in the special plastic folder.\u00a0 This may seem like an unnecessary step, but it is <span style=\"text-decoration: line-through;\">difficult<\/span> impossible to keep track of 20 students, money and permission forms.\u00a0 Thank you for your understanding.\u00a0 These bags will be called their &#8220;<em>dossiers<\/em>&#8221; in French.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Snack and Lunch:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Please note that the school does not provide spoons or forks for student&#8217;s lunch.\u00a0 Please pack one in your child&#8217;s lunch bag.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Toys:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A friendly reminder to <strong>not send toys to school<\/strong> as we have lots of toys to play with in the classroom and items brought to school can be easily damaged or misplaced.\u00a0 It is a big distraction in the classroom.\u00a0 We suggest to make it a rule that toys have to stay in the car.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Letter of the week:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>On Mondays, I am asking students to <strong>bring in an object that begins with the Letter of the Week.<\/strong>\u00a0 We are starting on MONDAY SEPT 30<sup>th<\/sup> with the letter \u201cA\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Here is a list for the next month:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Monday Sept 30<sup>th<\/sup> \u2013 Send an object that begins with the Letter A<\/p>\n<p>Monday Oct 7<sup>th<\/sup> \u2013 Send an object that begins with the Letter B<\/p>\n<p>TUESDAY Oct. 15<sup>th<\/sup> \u2013 Send an object that begins with the Letter C<\/p>\n<p>Monday Oct. 21<sup>st<\/sup> \u2013 Send an object that begins with the Letter D<\/p>\n<p>Monday Oct. 28<sup>th<\/sup> \u2013 Send an object that begina with the Letter E<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>If you cannot find an object, a drawing or computer print out is great too.\u00a0 Google can help &#8211; type in &#8216;words that start with F in French&#8217;.\u00a0 Put these items\/print out in your child\u2019s dossier.\u00a0 Please also <strong>label the objects<\/strong>, usually I can figure out what they are but sometimes I am stumped! If you need ideas or clarification, come see me \ud83d\ude42\u00a0 We will be making a list every MONDAY with these words!
