It has been an exciting week preparing the ceiling tiles in our classroom for painting next week. I have enjoyed seeing all of your interpretations of Social Responsibility in your doodle books and group sketches. It will definitely be difficult to narrow it down to only five designs! The artist who will be helping us paint the tiles is named Joey Mallett. She has done some pretty amazing work in Vancouver. With roughly seven billion people on this earth, all of us have some sort of responsibility to each other and our planet. Social responsibility reminds me of mindfulness for other people in our immediate communities and the world. It also makes me think about our HACE topic of responsible and respectful online behaviour. Helping your friends in class, picking up litter on the school grounds, and donating time and money to worthy causes are all good examples of being socially responsible. I have seen so many of you doing kind and thoughtful acts towards others; you have filled many buckets and in doing so, you have also had your bucket filled. Maybe in the future, you could even be a Malala or a Nelson Mandela!<\/p>\n
