ASL 8-12 will be participating in a American literacy competition focusing on Heroes in the Deaf community. For this year’s theme, we will be focusing on Deaf Canadians who are considered heroes. A hero can be defined differently from one person to one another, so the meaning of a hero is very general, so it depends on the person you consider to be a hero and the reason behind your selection.

Permission forms will be given out to students next week. It’s fine if you don’t want to participate in the competition (meaning your work being shared with the organization), but you must do the task as outlined in the competition for grading purposes. Questions, let me know.
